Aussie tennis fans will be tuning into this summer's action on Channel Nine, a year ahead of the original plan after they secured the rights from Channel Seven.
Nine recently paid $300 million for the tennis rights on a five-year deal beginning in 2020, but that has been brought forward by one year after they bought out the rights in 2019 for $48.5 million.
This will see at least the next six Australian Opens broadcast on Nine, ending a 45-year partnership with the tournament and Seven Network.

Nine CEO Hugh Marks said the network was pleased to bring the deal forward.
"There’s an air of excitement at Nine about being the new home of tennis, so to be able to start our new deal a year early brings us all much delight," Marks said.
"As I said back in March, the timing of tennis and the audience demographics it delivers are a perfect fit for Nine and its advertisers.
"We’re also mighty pleased to have been able to settle on a price for the additional year that is consistent with our original offer to Seven."
Nine will also broadcast the Brisbane, Sydney and Hobart Internationals as well as the Hopman Cup.
The news comes on the back of the broadcaster losing the rights to the home summer of cricket for the first time in 40 years.
Seven and Fox will now be the homes of cricket on Aussie televisions.
