Brazilian tennis player Diego Matos has been hit with a lifetime ban and a huge fine after being found guilty of match-fixing.
The 31-year-old ITF-level pro was also fined (AU) $181,197 dollars and ordered to pay back over $17,000 in prize money.
Matos was found guilty of contriving to fix matches across the world.
He was investigated over incidents in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Eduador, Portugal and Spain.
The prize money he will be forced to pay back was initially won at tournaments in Ecuador.
Matos also failed to co-operate with a Tennis Integrity Unit investigation, reportedly failing to provide his phone number and financial information.
Matos' last professional tournament was in December last year when he reached the final of a doubles event in Cameroon.
Primarily a doubles specialist, Matos reached a career high doubles ranking of 241 last year.
At the time of his suspension, he was ranked 1135 in the ATP singles rankings.
He reached a career high of 580 in 2012.
