It was a mixed day for Australians on day two at Wimbledon with five progressing to the second round and five being eliminated.

Four men continued their journey at the All England Lawn Tennis Club, headlined by Nick Kyrgios' five-set epic against British wildcard Paul Jubb - which was packed with with controversial moments from the Aussie star.

Qualifier Jason Kubler earned one of the best wins of his career - a straight set victory against British 28th seed Daniel Evans, while Alex De Minaur and Jordan Thompson progressed in straight sets also.

Alja Tomljanović is the only remaining Australian lady in the singles at Wimbledon, defeating 18th seed Jil Teichmann in straight sets.

Sadly it was the end of the road for Daria Saville, Alexei Popyrin, Astra Sharma, Jaimee Fourlis and Zoe Hives,

Five Aussies played full matches on Day 1, with Thanasi Kokkinakis the sole victor. He defeated Kamil Majchrzak in straight sets in a statement win following recent injury struggles.

James Duckworth claimed the first set against local favourite Andy Murray but fell in four sets. Elsewhere, Maddison Inglis, John Millman and Max Purcell also lost their opening round matches.
