Australian Open bad boys Nick Kyrgios and Daniil Medvedev feature high on the list for men's fines at this year's tournament, but surprisingly don't top the count.

Canadian hotshot Denis Shapovalov's AU$15,000 worth of fines is the most from any man at the 2022 Australian Open, with Greek crowd favourite Stefanos Tsitsipas ($13,000) coming in second.

Medvedev is third in the tally with $12,000 in penalties, all received during his fiery outburst in the men's semi-final with Tsitsipas, while Kyrgios comes in at fourth with $10,000 docked from his pocket.

The four previously mentioned players were the only men's competitors to be fined on multiple occasions, with Kyrgios and Medvedev still have matches to come at the Australian Open in the doubles and singles final respectively.

14th-seed Shapovalov was booked twice as he was eliminated in a five-set quarter-final against Rafael Nadal for racquet abuse and unsportsmanlike conduct, while he was also pulled up for the latter in his second round match.

Chair umpires and officials picked up Tsitsipas for receiving illegal coaching on three separate occasions in his third round, fourth round and semi-final matches.

Medvedev was cited for using a visible obscenity and unsportsmanlike conduct in his semi-final against Tsitsipas.

During his second round loss to Medvedev, Kyrgios was given a code violation for an audible obscenity and racquet abuse, while he was also cited for the latter in the doubles semi-final.
