World number seven Alexander Zverev has shot down Nick Kyrgios' dreams of a maiden grand slam title, believing that there are better young players that should be talked about than him ahead of the Australian Open.
Kyrgios will enter the tournament as the top-ranked Australian, with the 24-year-old looking to make up for a disappointing 2019 tournament.
However, Zverev believes that his chances of winning have been overrated, suggesting that there are a number of younger players that deserve recognition.
“There’s a lot of young guys that are right now, no offence, just better than him,” he said.
"I think Tsitsipas is better than him,
"Just simply because he is more consistent over five sets and that's what you need as well.
"It is not a three-set match where you can win in an hour-and-20 (minutes) and get off the court.
“To beat the best, you have to play at your best for a longer period of time.”

One of the players mentioned was injured Australian Alex De Minaur, who has been forced to withdraw from the tournament due to an abdominal strain.
After his strong performances against Rafael Nadal and Zverev himself, the 22-year-old questioned why he was getting less attention than Kyrgios.
“Alex De Minaur is just simply more consistent right now as well,” Zverev believes.
“I don’t know why not a lot of people talk about him because he’s been playing unbelievable at the ATP Cup.
"He beat me for the first time in his life, he beat Shapovalov,
"He also had a great match with Nadal,
"He's been playing some great ball."
