Greece ATP Cup team member Michail Pervolarakis has revealed he has tested positive to COVID-19.
The 24-year-old did not play in the 2021 Australian Open but partnered countryman Stafanos Tsitsipas in the ATP Cup against Austalia on February 3.
Tsitsipas defeated Swede Mikael Ymeris in straight sets on Saturday and is scheduled to play Italian ninth seed Matteo Berrettini in the fourth round on Monday.
Pervolarakis’ last appearance in Melbourne was a singles rubber against Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta nine days ago.

Carreno Busta retired in the second set of his third-round Australian Open clash against Grigor Dimitrov, who will play Dominic Thiem on Sunday.
Pervolarakis flew out of Melbourne Airport last Tuesday, the same day a cafe worker tested positive, leading the Victorian government to mandate a snap five-day lockdown.
He tested positive upon arrival to South Africa.
“Hi everyone. After a 24+ hour travel day from Australia to South Africa I’ve been diagnosed positive to COVID-19,” Pervolarakis wrote on Instagram on Saturday.
“I am completely asymptomatic at the moment and will have to quarantine in an isolation facility in Potchefstroom.
Although Pervolarakis did not feature in the tournament, new of his positive test is another headache for Australian Open organisers given his recent contact with players and officials in Melbourne.
In a second Instagram post on Saturday, Pervolarakis confirmed he tested negative to COVID-19 the day before he flew out of Melbourne.
“Just to clarify a few things … (I) got tested negative in Melbourne (on Monday) before leaving and the nurse said that I most likely got it on the plane or on my stop in Doha,” he wrote.
