With the grass court season well underway, the best tennis players from around the world prepare for the most prestigious Grand Slam of them all - Wimbledon.

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will go into the tournament as favourites after taking out the Australian and French Open respectively.

Wimbledon begins on Monday, July 2, with the men's grand final will be played on Sunday, July 15.

So, who will claim the title as the 51st Wimbledon champion of the Open era?

Wimbledon record:  Since Federer's Wimbledon debut in 1999, he has taken out title eight times and has been runner-up 3 times.

RAFAEL NADAL

Grass-court Win/Loss: 61-18 (77.2% win rate)

Wimbledon record:  Although Rafa has taken out the Wimbledon title twice (in 2008 and 2010), he hasn't actually made the grand final since 2011. Last year, the Spaniard only made it to the fourth round after being knocked out in a five-set upset to Luxembourg's Gilles Muller.

Wimbledon record:  Nick's best result at Wimbledon was back in 2014 when he beat Nadal 7-6, 5-7, 7-6, 6-3 to reach the quarter finals on debut. However, last year he was forced to retire within the first hour of his opening match against Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert.
