It's going to be an important 2024 for the Olyroos - Australia's under-23 men's football team - with the AFC U23 Asian Cup and the Paris 2024 Olympics looming.

Can head coach Tony Vidmar continue Australia's football momentum and steer the nation to a second consecutive Olympics and seventh overall?

The Sporting News has all the details on the Olyroos' Asian Cup and Olympics campaigns.

How do the Olyroos qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics?

AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024 will also represent Asia's qualifiers for the Paris Olympics 2024 - which will be held July 26 to August 11.

The top three teams in the tournament will qualify directly for Paris.

This will be the two teams in the final and the winner of the third-place playoff.

The team that loses in the third-place playoff will go into a playoff against African nation Guinea for a place at the Olympics.
