Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayern Munich prediction, odds, betting tips and best bets for 2023/24 Bundesliga clash image

Two of German football's most iconic sides clash on Saturday evening as Borussia Monchengladbach welcome old foes Bayern Munich back to Borussia-Park.

This will be the 111th Bundesliga meeting between the sides — the second-most played fixture in competition history — whilst Gladbach remain the side to have beaten Bayern the most times across Bundesliga history.

But repeating that feat here will be much easier said than done though with the visitors taking two wins from two thanks, at least in part, to Harry Kane's three strikes following his big money move from Tottenham.

That'll hardly be music to the ears of Gladbach fans who have already seen their side concede seven times across their two opening league outings this campaign — the joint-most of any Bundesliga outfit.

Gladbach vs Bayern Munich best bet

    • Pick: Bayern Munich to score exactly three goals
    • Odds: +260 (FanDuel)

In match ups like this where there's such a heavy favourite in the clash, it's often difficult to find value but we think we've found some here.

FanDuel are offering +260 on Bayern to score exactly three goals, a feat they managed in their last outing in the Bundesliga, a 3-1 victory over Augsburg.

Granted, mostly due to Gladbach's woeful defensive form so far this campaign, the visitors could rack up the goals here but they've struggled at this venue of late. In fact, they haven't won any of their last five meetings with Gladbach in general and although we're expecting that to change this time around, that could be a good enough reason to think that they won't absolutely run up the scoreline on Saturday.

Gladbach vs Bayern Munich flier bet

    • Pick: Harry Kane and Kingsley Coman both to score
    • Odds: 4.90 (+390) (Dafabet)

In this match, it's highly likely that Bayern Munich will find the back of the net at least a couple of times but as such, it's difficult to find any selections that are truly worth the value.

Because of that, we're doubling up on the goalscorer market here and saying that both Kane and Coman will find the back of the net at Borussia-Park.

The English star has hit the ground running for Bayern returning three goals in two league appearances but the value here comes from the inclusion of Coman.

The French winger is yet to get off the mark for the Bavarian giants this season in the league, but he has netted 58 times previously for the club over 270 appearances. Eight of those came across 24 Bundesliga matches last campaign whilst he's scored against Gladbach previously.
