Qatar will be attempting to defend their title on home soil at the AFC Asian Cup 2023, which is now underway.
However, they will face a difficult task in doing so with four different winners crowned in the previous four iterations of the tournament.
The Asian Cup began on January 13 when the holders and hosts welcomed Lebanon to the exact same place where France and Argentina fought it out for the World Cup just over a year earlier.
The month-long tournament will conclude at Lusail Stadium with the likes of Japan, who are currently Asia’s top-ranked team, South Korea and Australia all vying for the trophy.
