The ACT Brumbies suffered just their second loss of the Super Rugby season on Sunday, going down to the New South Wales Waratahs 28-13.
Defending champions the Waratahs ran in three tries at Allianz Stadium in Sydney to claim their third win of the campaign.
Bernard Foley, Israel Folau and Tolu Latu all crossed for Michael Cheika's side, who had gone behind early when Matt Toomua touched down.
The Brumbies remain top of the Australian Conference despite their loss, while the Waratahs climb into second.
The Waratahs scored 22 unanswered points after being down 13-6 inside 24 minutes.
Toomua's try and the boot Christian Lealiifano had the Brumbies on top early, but the Waratahs' response was strong.
Folau made the break leading to a try for Foley before the code-hopper crossed himself to put the hosts ahead.
That gave the Waratahs a 20-13 half-time lead, and they sealed their win with Latu's five-pointer in the 73rd minute.
