Argentina are in a strong position to qualify for the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals after running in seven tries in a comfortable 54-9 bonus-point victory over Georgia.
Daniel Hourcade's men went into Friday's game at Kingsholm having produced an admirable performance in their tournament opener with defending champions New Zealand, losing 26-16 last Sunday.
But they showed no signs of fatigue from that effort, claiming maximum points against a Georgia side who claimed the first shock of the tournament by beating Tonga 17-10 six days ago.
Georgia captain Mamuka Gorgodze's sin-binning proved costly as Argentina scored three tries in six second-half minutes, moving them into second in Pool C ahead of their next match with Tonga on October 4.
Fly-half Nicolas Sanchez scuffed the first drop-goal of the tournament over the posts to give Argentina the lead before his pass helped set up Tomas Lavanini for the opening try in the ninth minute.
Georgia, though, quickly responded after seeing Sanchez miss the resulting conversion, Merab Kvirikashvili cutting the gap to two points with a pair of penalties in the space of three minutes.
However, Sanchez immediately restored some breathing room for Argentina with a three-pointer that came following a Giorgi Tkhilaishvili high tackle.
Kvirikashvili continued to keep Georgia in the game with the boot, his third penalty coming as a deserved reward for some expansive attacking play, although Sanchez kept Milton Haig's men at arms' length.
Sanchez converted his second penalty of the contest after Argentina had failed to fully capitalise on his excellent break through the Georgia defence.
Georgia could not make the most of Argentina's profligacy, Lasha Malaghuradze sending a drop-goal attempt wide before the underdogs ruined a promising attack with a forward pass in the final attack of the half following a quick restart from Sanchez that gifted them possession.
The Georgia back row suffered a significant blow four minutes into the second half when Gorgodze was sin-binned for slowing the ball down at the end of another fine Sanchez break.
Lavanini then saw a try chalked off by the television match official, but Tomas Cubelli scampered over from the resulting scrum for a 46th-minute score and Juan Imhoff raced over in the left-hand corner two minutes later as the depleted Georgia defence began to crack.
And the crucial fourth try came in the 52nd minute, Santiago Cordero latching onto a fine set-piece move from a line-out and stepping past Kvirikashvili to go over underneath the posts.
Substitute Martin Landajo crossed from close range and wings Cordero and Imhoff rounded off the rout late on by securing their respective doubles.
