Rugby World Cup Groups: Who are the Wallabies playing? image

The 2023 Rugby World Cup is underway, with the Wallabies looking to claim the title for the first time in over twenty years.

Australia have not won the World Cup since 1999 — notably losing in the finals in both 2003 and 2015 — but are hoping to shake off some questionable form and once more return to the top of the mountain.

But before they look to the finals, they must first emerge from the group stage, where they will face some stiff opposition in pursuit of that crucial top-two spot.

Who are the Wallabies playing at the 2023 Rugby World Cup?

The Wallabies are in Pool C at the 2023 Rugby World Cup - the third of four groups at the tournament all of which comprise five teams.

The teams that make up Pool C are Wales, Australia, Fiji, Georgia, and Portugal, with all teams playing each other once before the top two teams from the pool move on to the knockout stages.
