New Zealand remain one of the most formidable sides in rugby union and will come into the 2023 Rugby World Cup as one of the favourites to take home the trophy. 

Across recent times, teams in the northern hemisphere have seemingly led a bit of a revolution which has ultimately seen the All Blacks' lead in the game shorten. 

That level of competition should mean that we get a tense, action-packed tournament in France this autumn, in which New Zealand will hope to claim a fourth title which would be a record amount.

New Zealand Rugby World Cup fixtures, results

Title hopefuls New Zealand began Pool A with their most likely toughest fixture as they suffered a shock 27-13 defeat to France. That result could dictate who will finish the group in top spot such is the duo's standards above the other sides in their pool.

The All Blacks will be looking for a big response when they face off with Namibia and Italy before finishing their group stage campaign with a match against Uruguay.

Who could New Zealand play in Rugby World Cup quarterfinals?

To qualify from their Pool at this year's tournament, New Zealand either have to finish first or second in Pool A.

If they win their pool, they would then face the runners-up of Pool B in Saint-Denis on Sunday, October 15.

If they finish runners-up in Pool A, they would instead face the winner of Pool B in Saint-Denis a day earlier on Saturday, October 14.
