Second position in The Rugby Championship is up for grabs and the Wallabies are - dare we say it - on a roll.

Sean McMahon will make his return via the bench, which will be his first appearance in the gold jersey since November 2017 against Scotland, while 38-year-old Greg Holmes will become the equal-oldest player to turn out for the Wallabies.

Australia have lost only one of their last 12 men’s Tests against Argentina, a 23-19 defeat in September 2018; this despite the Wallabies leading at halftime on the day only three times in their last eight meetings in that span.

It bodes well for the Wallabies, even with coach Dave Rennie ringing in the changes for the final match of The Rugby Championship.

TALKING POINTS

  • Coach Rennie's changes to the starting side.
  • Argentina have made the most tackles (144.2) and won the most turnovers (6.2) per game of any team in The Rugby Championship this year.
  • Australia have conceded five offloads per game in The Rugby Championship this year, the fewest of any team and two per game fewer than Argentina (7).
  • Samu Kerevi (Australia) has made more carries (60), offloads (8) and beaten more defenders (19) than any other player in The Rugby Championship this year.
