World Club Challenge: Brett Morris completes first half hat-trick on Sydney Roosters debut image

Brett Morris took little time to find success at his new club, completing a hat-trick in less than 40 minutes of football in the World Club Challenge.

And the world class speedster did it all out of position, filling in the centres for representative star Latrell Mitchell who was in Australia after his Indigneous All Stars appearance on Friday.

Morris upheld the reputation of the Roosters' unstoppable left edge, beating four defenders as he dodged and weaved to barrel over for his first try.

Fearless with ball-in-hand, Morris put it over another four defenders for his second four-pointer, outmuscling his way over the goal-line with brute strength.

All good things come in threes, and perhaps his easiest try was his last as he perfectly timed his run off a Luke Keary pass to zip past Wigan centre Oliver Gildart.

Morris' individual brilliance gave the Roosters a 14-4 lead at half-time.

Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaved provided the other highlight moment, sparking a melee with a late hit on Wigan hooker Sam Powell.
