New South Wales and Queensland will clash in a Women’s State of Origin decider for the first time in history on Thursday, June 27.

The Maroons produced a miraculous escape on enemy territory in the second game to drag the series to a third and final match. And they now have the chance to lift the shield in front of their home fans in Townsville.

The Sky Blues came within minutes of wrapping up the series in Newcastle only to fall to a Lauren Brown field goal in an 11-10 thriller.

NSW had initially drawn first blood when they cruised to a 22-12 win at Suncorp Stadium in the opening contest.
