The first game of a historic three-match Women’s State of Origin series will get underway this Thursday in what will act as a curtain-raiser for Magic Round.

New South Wales have named a new halves combination as they seek to wrestle the shield away from Queensland.

The Maroons won the two-game series last year on points differential to claim the glory and the bragging rights.
