When are State of Origin Game 2 teams announced? Team lists for New South Wales and Queensland image

The State of Origin series rolls into Melbourne for a vital clash between New South Wales and Queensland on Wednesday, June 26.

The Maroons battered the Blues 38-10 in the opening game of the series with Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow bagging a hat-trick against the 12 men.

Billy Slater's side are now just one win away from claiming their third straight series victory.

However, Michael Maguire has an opportunity to pick his team up and force a decider next month with a win at the MCG.

Blues team news:

Dylan Edwards has been re-included following a late withdrawal from Game I due to a quad injury he picked up in training.

The fullback will replace James Tedesco after getting through Penrith's game against Newcastle unscathed.

Joseph Suaalii endured a horror debut, becoming the sixth player in Origin history to be sent from the field.

In his absence, Latrell Mitchell has earned a recall at left centre after being on fire in recent weeks, selected over Bradman Best and Jesse Ramien.

Zac Lomax was impressive on debut and has kept his spot after the hamstring injury to Josh Addo-Carr

Mitch Moses is back on deck after missing two months of the season due to a foot injury and has been picked for Game. Nicho Hynes and Jarome Luai were in the halves for the opener, but only the latter has kept his spot.

Jake Trbojevic was only used for 30 minutes across two stints in the middle after being named skipper but will remain up front.

Reece Robson got through the full game at hooker and came up with some big defensive plays, keeping Api Koroisau at bay.

Liam Martin will return from an ankle issue he picked up in Origin I, while Cameron Murray made his return for South Sydney and has forced his way into the side, pushing Cameron McInnes out of the 17.

Connor Watson is set to start from the bench in a slightly unexpected pick.

Matt Burton and Hudson Young both miss out.

QLD predicted team:

1. Reece Walsh
2. Xavier Coates
3. Valentine Holmes
4. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow
5. Murray Taulagi
6. Tom Dearden
7. Daly Cherry-Evans
8. Reuben Cotter
9. Ben Hunt
10. Lindsay Collins
11. Jaydn Su'A
12. Jeremiah Nanai
13. Patrick Carrigan

14. Harry Grant
15. Moeaki Fotuaika
16. J'maine Hopgood
17. Selwyn Cobbo

Maroons team news:

Reece Walsh lasted just seven minutes of the Origin opener before he copped a sickening high shot from Suaalii that saw him sidelined for the rest of the contest.

The Broncos fullback has missed his club's two games in between Origin matches but is likely to be named regardless by Slater.

Xavier Coates was great for the Maroons in Sydney as he churned through a team-high 185 run metres while also touching down for a try.

The Storm flyer will be joined in an unchanged backline by Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, who covered for Walsh at the back, and Murray Taulagi and Valentine Holmes.

Tom Dearden will keep his spot at five-eighth alongside Daly Cherry-Evans, who was crowned Player of the Match in Game I.

Ben Hunt crossed for the first try in the opening match and is likely to start at the MCG ahead of Harry Grant

J'maine Hopgood suffered injury issues while backing up for the Eels after Origin I and was left out of Trent Barrett's side this week. Felise Kaufusi is likely to be his replacement if he is ruled out of Game II.

David Fifita was overlooked for the opening match of the series and is unlikely to be able to force his way into the team after suffering an ankle issue.
