One week after the Melbourne Storm and Penrith Panthers dished up an all-timer of an NRL Grand Final, it's the Super League's turn to see who'll be the 2024 champions, as the Wigan Warriors and first-time finalists Hull Kingston Rovers go head-to-head at Manchester's Old Trafford stadium with the Super League trophy on the line.

Wigan have the chance to win all four trophies on offer in 2024, and doing so would make them the first side in history to do so in the same calendar year. After defeating new four-peat NRL Premiers Penrith in February's World Club Challenge, the Warriors also beat Warrington Wolves in the Challenge Cup Final before sealing the League Leaders' Shield – Super League's equivalent of the Minor Premiership.

Hull KR, meanwhile, are playing in their first Super League Grand Final, and could become only the fifth side to win the title since the competition began in 1996. The Robins have already beaten Wigan once so far this season, but also suffered more recent defeats to the Warriors in Round 25 of Super League and the Challenge Cup semifinals respectively.

Rovers not only have the coach of the year, former South Sydney and St. George halfback Willie Peters, but also England half-back Mikey Lewis, who was recently awarded the Man of Steel award – the UK's Dally M Medal. The Grand Final's man of the match award will also be particularly prescient this year, as it's now dedicated to the memory of an England legend and motor neurone disease fundraiser – and has been re-named the Rob Burrow Award.

As Rugby League fans get ready for another Grand Final to close out a bumper campaign in the UK, The Sporting News has all the TV and live streaming details for fans in Australia to keep up with all the action.

2024 Super League Grand Final prediction

All the signs point towards Wigan, the seasoned winners who have made picking up silverware look easy in recent years, adding a seventh Super League title to their collection, and becoming the first team to win the Challenge Cup, League Leaders' Shield, Super League and World Club Challenge in the same calendar year.

However, Hull KR have shown this season of all seasons that they have what it takes to go the distance, and have already beaten Wigan on home soil in 2024. With the Man of Steel steering coach of the year Willie Peters's side around the park, and Super League and NRL Grand Final winners like Ryan Hall and Tyrone May in the side, could this be the year that a brand new name is finally etched on the trophy?

Prediction: Wigan Warriors to win by six points or more.
