Joseph Sua'ali'i has been one of the most discussed players of the 2024 NRL season, after an incredibly up-and-down season for the Roosters star.
The youngster began the year with his first State of Origin selection, an honour that quickly turned to horror after he was sent off just 10 minutes in for a brutal high shot on Reece Walsh.
But the real focus on Sua'ali'i came from his defection from NRL, with the talented youngster set to make the move to rugby union and suit up for the Wallabies... or so he thought.

Wallabies coach casts doubt on Sua'ali'i's cross-code future
Speaking earlier this month ahead of the NRL finals, Sua'ali'i claimed that he would be apart of the Wallabies Spring tour, which heads to the United Kingdom and Ireland.
However, head coach Joe Schmidt pushed back on this, saying that the incoming player's status was still very much up in the air.
"Yeah, I was interested that Joseph mentioned that," Schmidt said.
"I haven’t spoken to him directly yet because I wanted to leave him to play for the Roosters.
"Obviously they played last night and were knocked out by the Melbourne Storm.
"So Joseph, now, we will potentially have a conversation.
"We’ve just got to wait for the powers that be to deem that he’s available to us and then, you know, post that, he’ll be a guy that we’ll have a conversation with for sure."
Sua'ali'i's current tenure in the NRL came to a close this past Friday, after his Roosters were downed in the preliminary final by the Melbourne Storm.
