The Roosters have locked down emerging front-rower Terrell May for a further two seasons, keeping him at the club until at least the end of 2026.
May, 24, has developed into an important component of the club’s big man rotation and had been commanding attention from rival teams.
In a massive boost for the Roosters’ medium-term future, May has opted to sign a two-year extension with the Bondi Junction-based outfit.

“I’m really happy to have my future sorted with the Roosters,” said May.
“I love being part of the team here and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to represent the red, white and blue for another two years.”
May’s brothers, Taylan and Tyrone, both play the sport professionally, the former a star outside back for the Panthers, the latter now for Hull KR in the Super League having previously played for Penrith.
It has been reported in the past that the brothers would potentially seek the chance to play at the same club, although any reunion will now have to wait, with Terrell’s two-year extension coming just a few weeks after Taylan did the same at Penrith.
With Jarad Waerea-Hargreaves departing the Roosters at the end of the season, Terrell May is expected to help lead the pack alongside the likes of Lindsay Collins.
Roosters recruitment boss Daniel Anderson spoke about May following the announcement of his new deal.
“It’s been terrific to see Terrell’s development over the last few seasons,”Anderson said.
“He’s powerful, athletic and a competitor, and his best football is still ahead of him so we’re very pleased to have locked him in for another two years.”
