With just six weeks remaining in the regular season, there's plenty to play for across the NRL as teams look to cement their spots in the top-four and top-eight.

Brisbane will be hoping to continue their strong campaign against a desperate Roosters outfit to kick off the round, while Parramatta and Melbourne will square off on Friday night. 

Tariq Sims and Martin Taupau are both facing time on the sidelines due to suspension, while Cowboys second-rower Jeremiah Nanai is out with a shoulder injury.

Brendan Piakura has been ruled out after initially being named in the back-row, with Patrick Carrigan moving to an edge and Keenan Palasia expected to start through the middle. 

Xavier Willison has been elevated to the bench after initially being named as 18th man.

Tevita Tatola was a late omission in Round 21 and is once again missing which means Jai Arrow shifts to prop and Jacob Host starts on an edge.

Nelson Asofa-Solomona struggled with a finger injury against Newcastle and misses out with Tom Eisenhuth starting in the backrow. 

Tariq Sims will miss two weeks due to suspension, but his absence has been offset by the return of Eli Katoa on the interchange.
