A massive deciding game in the State of Origin is tonight, with New South Wales looking to achieve the daunting task of winning a winner takes all Game 3 at Lang Park.

These games are often feisty and have niggle and bite to them, meaning strong officiating is required, and often regardless of the results, the officiating makes the headlines the next day.

Who has been trusted with the tough job of being in the middle for Game 3 tonight?

State of Origin referees: Ashley Klein appointed to officiate Game 3

Ashley Klein will officiate his third Origin game in a row tonight after being the man in charge in the first two games, and he certainly had choices to make.

He sent off Joseph Sual'i'ii after just eight minutes in Game One for a late high shot on Reece Walsh, with the send off being the quickest in State of Origin history.

Whilst there were no send offs in Game 2 in Melbourne, he sent NSW's Liam Martin and Queensland's Reuben Cotter to the sin-bin in Game 2 after a melee midway through the second half.

In such a huge game, there is a good chance at least one player will be sent to the bin tonight.
