Ethan Lowe will make his Queensland debut in Wednesday's State of Origin decider after being chosen to replace the injured Matt Gillett.
Gillett was scratched from the enormous match at ANZ Stadium on Tuesday morning.
The race to replace the back-rower in the Maroons' squad came down to Lowe and prop Dylan Napa, who was flown into camp after Gillett withdrew.

But Queensland coach Kevin Walters has opted to hand Lowe the chance, with the South Sydney Rabbitohs forward expected to come from the bench.
Nineteen-year-old David Fifita is expected to start in Gillett's spot on the right edge.
"Ethan Lowe was just presented his jersey, so he will be in the 17 for tomorrow night," Walters told NRL 360.
"It's a very exciting moment for myself but also for Ethan, for him to get his first opportunity at this level.
"He's been through all of our emerging programs and [is] a real Queensland kid from Goondiwindi from the south-west of Queensland.
"Just the look and feel in his eyes, when he found out about it when it was happening, he was a very excited young gentleman, I can tell you."
The enthusiastic Walters wouldn't confirm whether Fifita is set to be jetted into the run-on team in only his third Origin game, however.
"From our point of view, we're not going to divulge our starting side or who's going to be playing where," he said.
"When you're going into battle, you do not tell your opposition what's happening with your side."
Lowe will join five-eighth Corey Norman and front-rower Christian Welch in making his maiden Origin appearance.
The gracious Gillett was the man to give Lowe his jumper, telling him: "You deserve this jersey".
Lowe then said: "This is what all of us in this room have dreamed about, to get this jersey.
"You guys all have faith in me … I can’t wait to get out there and do my job."
Lowe came into first grade with the North Queensland Cowboys in 2013, playing 108 matches for the club before moving to the Rabbitohs this year.
