Don’t try to convince Robbie Farah that St George Illawarra are chokers.

In fact, he’d happily swap places with the Red V right here, right now.

So Dragons fans, put away your ‘Fail Mary’ banners and stop burning Ben Hunt effigies and start believing again as your team prepares to meet ninth-placed Wests Tigers in a Leichhardt Oval blockbuster on Saturday night.

“I think it is very harsh,” Farah said of the ‘chokers’ tag.

“It’s been a trend for them the last couple of years but they don’t go out there to lose or to choke.

“They’re still a quality team. They’re in a better position than us at the moment.

“I’d swap where they are for where we are.

“They’re still fighting for a top four spot and they’re still a chance to win the grand final once the finals start.

“I think everyone is writing them off a bit too soon.”

Tigers fullback Moses Mbye is another true believer.

He believes the Dragons are neither tired nor flat, but are simply a victim of their own success.

Mbye said: “Sometimes the consequence of being so good early in the season is you become the hunted.

“They’ve been under pressure and scrutiny but they are a quality side full of Origin players and internationals.

“They are going to be there at the business end of the year and are one win away from dropping the chokers tag.

“We don’t want to play them back in (to form).”

It will come down to for and against, but the Tigers could find themselves inside the top eight if they beat St George Illawarra and Brisbane crash to South Sydney on Thursday night.
