It wasn't the first finals game that Cronulla were hoping for in Melbourne, obliterated to the tune of 27 points.
The Sharks looked outclassed all across the field, unable to stop the blistering hot Melbourne Storm who scored their first try just one minute in.
One player in particular who struggled throughout the clash was Nicho Hynes, the Sharks star halfback and former Dally M Medallist, whose poor performance has led one NRL great to call for his team to drop him for their must win game against the Roosters.

Should Cronulla drop Hynes for Roosters clash?
It was a tough night out for Hynes in Melbounre, struggling to contribute throughout the game.
His performance was so troubling that it has caused NRL legend Greg Alexander to call for Cronulla coach Craig Fitzgibbon to drop Hynes from the starting 13 this weekend against Sydney.
"He must be under pressure to keep his spot in the side," Alexander said on his radio show Vossy and Brandy.
"Braydon Trindall and Daniel Atkinson had been doing a good job as the halves pairing and then Nicho Hynes came back into the side.
"There has to be serious questions about whether Hynes gets a start, I would personally go with Trindall and Atkinson.
"If Craig Fitzgibbon says to Hynes that he isn’t their man for this game then that’s saying he has no faith in him being the man for next year or the year after that.
"Hynes can play footy but he’s lacking something and that’s confidence. He is hesitant at the moment, he needs to go back to 2022 and last year to watch how he used to play."
The Sharks will play the Roosters Friday.
