Joseph Sua'ali'i's time in the NRL has come to a close, with the young star set to make his cross-code move to rugby union.
After a rollercoaster season for the former Rooster, he will now become one of the most coveted NRL deserter in some time, as he joins up with the Waratahs and the Wallabies.
But just days after the end of the NRL grand final, a secret clause has been revealed in Sua'ali'i's contract, with massive implications for his future in both sports.

Secret clause in Sua'ali'i's rugby contract revealed
When Joseph Sua'ali'i's move to rugby union was announced, it was billed as a three-year deal for around $5.3 million.
However, anonymous sources have revealed to the SMH that this deal also included a two-year, $4 million player option, which could take the entire contract to over $8 million total, and see the player locked up for the rest of the decade.
"We’re looking forward to Joseph’s return to rugby," Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh said when asked about the clause.
"There has already been plenty of discussion and commentary ahead of his move because Joseph is a special talent who naturally generates public interest.
"We strongly believe he will make a positive contribution to the game on and off the field."
