NRLW 2024: Every club’s signing, contract and squad news for the season image

The new NRLW season is in full swing with the race for a finals spot well and truly on. 

The reigning premiers Newcastle have work to do to climb into the top four, with Cronulla currently unbeaten and leading the way at the top of the ladder. 

There has been plenty of turnover in the off-season with a number of clubs making major moves in the market to try and topple the Knights.

Broncos contract news:

Julia Robinson and Romy Teitzel have been locked down on long-term deals which takes the duo through until at least the end of the 2027 campaign. 

Captain Ali Brigginshaw is signed for the next two seasons, along with the likes of Gayle Broughton and Destiny Brill. 

Keilee Joseph has joined from the Roosters on a two-year deal, while rugby union convert Stacey Waaka has signed on a one-year contract. 

Filomina Hanisi has departed for Cronulla, while the likes of Grace Griffin and Toni Hunt have gone unsigned. 

Lavinia Gould and Bree Spreadborough have been the final additions to the roster, with Gould now having been at the club since their inaugural 2018 campaign.

Raiders contract news:

A raft of players went unsigned following last year's campaign with the likes of Ahlivia Ingram, Jessica Gentle and Tara Reinke leaving the club.  

Grace Kemp, Simaima Taufa and Sophie Holyman are tied down to the club long-term with the trio on four-year deals, while Zahara Temara is signed in the nation's capital until 2026. 

Shakiah Tungai, Tommaya Kelly-Sines and Kerehitina Matua all inked one-year extensions, while Grace Kemp and Sophie Holyman also agreed to new deals. 

Amelia Pasikala and Sereana Naitokatoka have joined the Raiders with the former signing a two-year deal and the latter joining on a one-year contract. 

Jaida Faleono, Tatiana Finau and Relna Wuruki-Hosea have been added to round out their roster. 

Ashleigh Quinlan will depart the club at the end of the season after agreeing to join the Bulldogs.

Sharks contract news:

Pia Tapsell has been signed from rugby union along with Filomina Hanisi, who has inked a one-year deal after the NSW Origin rep left the Broncos. 

Emma Tonegato is one of five players signed to a three-year deal with Ellie Johnston, Georgia Hannaway, Jada Taylor and Talei Holmes also signed long-term in the Shire. 

Former Australian rugby sevens player Hannaway signed a three-year deal, while former Jillaroos and NSW star Nakia Davis-Welsh has also signed for the Sharks. 

Kiana Takairangi and Maddie Studdon went unsigned after coming off-contract last season. 

Harata Butler has departed to join North Queensland on a two-year contract and Sereana Naitokatoka joined the Raiders.  

In a major coup, the Sharks have signed representative prop Caitlan Johnston from Newcastle on a three-year deal, which commences in 2025.

Titans contract news:

Jessika Elliston and Shannon Mato have been retained long-term on the Gold Coast with the duo signed until at least the end of the 2027 season. 

Georgia Hale and Rilee Jorgensen are also committed to the club on three-year deals, while Jaime Chapman is signed for two seasons. 

Shaylee Bent only has one year remaining on her deal, while the club holds an option for 2025 on the trio of Chantay Kiria-Ratu, Destiny Mino-Sinapati and Sienna Lofipo. 

Rugby union convert Ivana Lolesio has joined the Titans on a two-year deal, while Ngatokotoru Arakua has also joined the club. 

Karina Brown and Zara Canfield have been retained on club options, while Brittany Breayley-Nati has also been extended. 

Veteran Steph Hancock left the club in order to join the Dragons, while Brooke Saddler, Kaitlyn Phillips and Sophie Buller went unsigned. 

Chantay Kiria-Ratu, Destiny Mino-Sinapati and Ivana Lolesio have been ruled out for the season due to injury.

Knights contract news:

Not too many changes for the premiers with Jasmin Strange and Tiana Davison exiting to the Roosters, while there have been just four incomings. 

Grace Kukutai has been signed from rugby union, while Evie Jones, Isabella Waterman and Jacinta Carter have also been added to the roster.

Tamika Upton is signed to the club until the end of the 2027 campaign, along with Georgia Roche. 

Jesse and Hannah Southwell are locked down for at least the next two seasons with a mutual option available for Jesse for the following two years, and a club option available for Hannah. 

Yasmin Clydsdale is signed for the next two seasons, along with Olivia Higgins, Sheridan Gallagher and Simone Karpani. 

Caitlan Johnston-Green will have one more season in the Hunter, before the two-time premiership winner departs for the Sharks. 

Meanwhile, Fane Finau will join the club in 2025 while Evah McEwen, Leah Ollerton, Leilani Ahsam and Lily-Ann White will all be promoted off the development list next season.

The Cowboys moved quickly to sign Jakiya Whitfeld from the Tigers and Harata Butler from the Broncos. 

Whitfield has been signed on a three-year contract, which places her alongside Kirra Dibb who is also on a long-term deal. 

The likes of China Polata, Emma Manzelmann and Jasmine Peters are committed to the club for the next two seasons. 

Ebony Rafstrand-Smith, Libby Surha, Lily Peacock and Lillian Yarrow have all been signed from the Mackay Cutters.

Amelia Huakau has left for the Tigers, while a raft of players including Kelsey Clark, Shontelle Stowers and Talesha O'Neill went unsigned. 

Abbi Church inked a new deal with the fullback joining Boss Kapua, Cassey Tohi-Hiku and Noaria Kapua in being locked in for the next three seasons. 

Pihuka Berryman-Duff and Jade Fonua have re-signed with the club on one-year deals. 

The Eels have rewarded a quartet of development players with new deals for the upcoming season with Taneka Todhunter, Lindsay Tui, Chloe Jackson and Tafao Asaua joining the top-24 squad.

Dragons contract news:

The Dragons announced a trio of signings earlier this year with Charlotte Basham and Bronte Wilson inking one-year deals, while Kasey Reh signed a three-year deal. 

Alexis Tauaneai is the only other player locked down until the end of the 2026 campaign. 

Raecene McGregor is one of host of players currently at the club on two-year contracts, with fellow Kiwi star Tyla King amongst these. 

Alice Gregory and Maatuleio Fotu-Moala have signed one-year deals, with Gregory set to play rugby league for the first time after previously being part of the Australian Rugby Sevens program. 

Steph Hancock has signed on a one-year deal as a replacement for Tara McGrath-West, who has been ruled out for the season through injury. 

Indie Bostock is on the development list and will be promoted to the top-24 next year.

Roosters contract news:

The Roosters have secured the signings of Jasmin Strange and Tiana Davison, while Keilee Joseph has left for Brisbane. 

Rugby union convert Liz Tafuna originally joined the club, but the American has since left on medical grounds. 

Jessica Sergis has agreed to a long-term deal which will keep her at the club until at least the end of the 2027 season.

Millie Boyle could also remain in Bondi for this extended period as she has an option in her favour for the remaining two years of her four-year contract. 

Isabelle Kelly is signed for the next three seasons at the club, while Corban Baxter and Tavarna Papalii are also in the same boat. Although Baxter will miss this season after suffering a knee injury. 

Former hockey star Samantha Economos has signed with the club, while former Jillaroos star Sam Bremner has come out of retirement to sign with the Chooks.

Tigers contract news:

The Tigers have announced the signings of Claudia Nielsen, Natasha Penitani, Harmony Crichton and Amelia Huakau ahead of the new season. 

Crichton has signed a long-term deal to keep her at Concord until at least the end of the 2026 season, while Losana Lutu is also signed for the next three years. 

Jakiya Whitfeld is a big loss, with the young star moving to the Cowboys. 

The likes of Bianca Bennetts, Eliza Siilata and Josie Lenaz have gone unsigned, while Ebony Prior will depart at the end of the year to join the Dogs. 

Iemaima Etuale and Evie McGrath will be promoted off the development list next year.  

Following the season-ending injuries to Kezie Apps and Harmony Crichton, the Tigers signed Montana Clifford mid-year.
