This year's NRLW premiership is set to take the women's game to all-new heights.

The introduction of four clubs to the women's stage and the announcement of a new streaming deal for the 2023 season will make this year's competition bigger and more accessible than ever.

Who are the reigning NRLW Champions?

The Newcastle Knights are the reigning NRLW Champions after lifting the 2022 trophy under captains Millie Boyle and Hannah Southwell.

The Knights finished second in the regular season, and saw off the fourth-placed Parramatta Eels 32-12 in the grand final.

Boyle's switch to last year's minor premiers, the Sydney Roosters, is one of the stories of the off-season, and it remains to be seen how the Novocastrians will fare without one of their biggest stars.

They will also have to stave off brand-new opposition in the shape of Cronulla, Canberra, North Queensland, and the Wests Tigers as they feature for the very first time in the NRLW.

Who made the finals last season?

The Roosters, Knights, Dragons, and Eels rounded out the top four in last year's NRLW campaign.

Parramatta went on to upset the minor premiers in one semi-final while Newcastle beat the Dragons in the other. The Knights made light work of the Eels in the final in front of over 42,000 people at Accor Stadium.

How to watch the NRLW in 2023

Every game of the 2023 NRLW season will be broadcast live on Channel 9 and streaming on 9Now as a part of their brand new coverage deal.

With an expanded 48-game campaign beginning on July 22nd, there will be four Saturday triple-headers, regular Sunday double-headers leading into the NRL games, three prime-time games on the main channel and two stand-alone Thursday night games during the NRL finals.
