The grand final rematch between Penrith and Brisbane will get Round 3 off to a mouth-watering start on Thursday.
The Panthers broke Broncos' hearts last October when Nathan Cleary produced a legendary performance in the closing stages to snatch the premiership out of Brisbane's grasp and make it three straight triumphs for Penrith.
Ivan Cleary's men were in dire straits last time they met but he and his counterpart Kevin Walters have been at pains to discuss how this early season clash will be completely different to the decider.
Both teams have injury issues heading into the blockbuster with James Fisher-Harris missing for the hosts, while the Broncos will be without two key men in Adam Reynolds and Payne Haas.
