There are now just two teams remaining in the race to win the NRL premiership this year. 

Melbourne crushed the Roosters in the opening preliminary final at AAMI Park on Friday evening.

Meanwhile, the Panthers advanced through to a fifth straight grand final appearance when they beat the Sharks.

Victor Radley made a surprise comeback from injury during last week's win over the Sea Eagles and has been named to start at lock. 

Naufahu Whyte dropped to the pine as a result of Radley's late inclusion with Siua Wong dropping out of the 17. The same bench rotation has been named by Trent Robinson.

Brad Schneider featured off the bench during the qualifying final win over the Roosters and has got the nod over Trent Toelau again.

Jesse Ramien made a successful return from injury during the win over the Cowboys but since been ruled out of the prelim. Kayal Iro, who was also under an injury cloud, will play.  

Sifa Talakai starts in the centres with Ramien unavailable, while Daniel Atkinson has been added to the pine.
