WHO TO BUY IN SUPERCOACH
Tohu Harris 2RF - $520,900
Average: 61
Last Round Score: 94
Average Minutes: 80
Breakeven: 51
Verdict: We're all beefing up for the byes, but you want to ensure that you're not just spending on players who will get you through the week, but also can help you as a long-term solution. Enter Harris. Still sitting around his starting price, Harris was back to his best last week with a score of 94, tallying his seventh score over 60. An 80-minute forward with a high workrate, this one will be a keeper for the rest of the season.
Raymond Faitala-Mariner - $476,100
Average: 58
Last Round Score: 71
Average Minutes: 74
Breakeven: 76
Verdict: An injury-hit few weeks had us on edge, but the Canterbury second-rower proved again why he has been a top 2RF option with a score of 71. In his breakout Supercoach season, RFT has scored over 60 at a 50 per cent rate, averaging 58 thanks to his high evade stats in tackle breaks and offloads. You never know, there could also be a try or two against the Titans, Knights and Raiders in three clashes from the lower end of the table.
WHO TO HOLD IN SUPERCOACH
Viliame Kikau 2RF - $489,300
Average: 57
Last Round Score: 11
Average Minutes: 61
Breakeven: 76
Verdict: Bye coverage. Simple as that. Kikau survived an ACL scare and will only be ruled out for around one to three weeks, meaning he is likely to suit up for round 17. You're going to need all the players you can get as most Supercoaches won't be able to field a full team. If you can, kudos to you.
Rhyse Martin 2RF - $356,500
Average: 68
Last Round Score: N/A
Average Minutes: 77
Breakeven: -23
Verdict: C'mon Dean Pay, do us all a favour. We all thought we had a keeper then BAM, suddenly Rhyse Martin was out of the 17. Keep hope though because with David Klemmer out on Origin duties in round 17, a forward spot will open up. All he needs is one more game for another tasty price rise also.
WHO TO SELL IN SUPERCOACH
Johnathan Thurston HFB - $394,600
Average: 50
Last Round Score: 36
Average Minutes: 80
Breakeven: 30
Verdict: We gave him one last chance and he failed us. This is more of a rage trade on our behalf, but with a breakeven of 30 you could go another week if you're brave. The inconsistency is killing us and seeing one of the game's greats fall is painful, especially when he's in your Supercoach team. Farewell, it's been a fun ride.
Josh Addo-Carr CTW - $501,000
Average: 52
Last Round Score: 18
Average Minutes: 80
Breakeven: 122
Verdict: We sent this message out back in round 11 when he was priced at $696,700, so this is just a reminder for those who lost themselves $200K. Any proifts gained on Addo-Carr are now well gone after his mid-season spike, averaging just 28 over the past month. There will be no bye coverage with his Origin commitments, removing all of his value.
Jordan Rapana CTW - $473,100
Average: 50
Last Round Score: 40
Average Minutes: 78
Breakeven: 73
Verdict: An obvious one. Rapana will be out for eight weeks with a hamstring tear, ruling him out of a crucial round 17 bye. The broken gun has been a far cry of the player we've come to love, with his average dropping over 21 points in one season. That's Joey Leilua-like. The Supercoach disease must have caught on in the nation's capital.
