Elsewhere, a Newcastle enforcer has found himself in hot water, while Tigers duo have been charged for a tackle which injured Toby Rudolf.

Leo Thompson accepts ban for Ryan Papenhuyzen tackle

Kiwi international Leo Thompson has been hit with a grade 2 Dangerous Contact charge, after making contact with Storm fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen in the air during the Knights' 14-12 win over the Storm on Sunday afternoon.

Thompson will miss one match after he took the early plea instead of risking a two-game suspension at the judiciary.

The prop is the only player to cop a suspension from the round, with five other players accepting monetary fines for their respective indiscretions.

West Tigers duo charged with hit on Toby Rudolf

It was a tough night in the office for Cronulla's Rudolf, who was on the receiving end of two Wests Tigers hits in one, both of which have been charged by the judiciary.

Rudolf was the subject of a brutal hit from both Api Koroisau and Stefano Utoikamanu, both of whom were fined, the former for Dangerous Contact, and the latter for a Careless High Tackle.

But the Sharks didn't come away completely unscathed, after Cameron McInnes received a charge of his own, following a high tackle against John Bateman. He has chosen to pay a $750 fine with an early guilty plea.

Taylan May escapes charge after Reece Walsh head clash

Walsh exited the field four minutes into Thursday night's Panthers vs. Broncos match, suffering a serious cut above his eye after a head clash with May.

However, the shot, which left Walsh with a facial fracture, did not earn a charge from the Match Review Committee.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary felt the contact was accidental.

"No one wants to see some of the best players go off, but I just thought it was an accident," he said.

"I actually thought he (May) was trying to pull out of the tackle.

"He was directly upright which is not how you tackle. If he had have bent down ... he probably would have hit him (Walsh) in his head with his shoulder."

Matt Eisenhuth given fine for shoulder charge

Eisenhuth was cited for a grade one shoulder charge on Broncos five-eighth Ezra Mam in the 80th minute of the Panthers' 34-12 win on Thursday night.

He has accepted a monetary fine and can play in the Panthers' Round 4 match against Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium.
