NRL Judiciary Round 12: Victor Radley handed lengthy ban, Felise Kaufusi to miss Origin opener image

Victor Radley will miss multiple matches after being cited by the NRL Judiciary in the Roosters' loss to the Dragons, while Dolphins second-rower Felise Kaufusi is confirmed to miss the State of Origin opener.

It was better news for Jarome Luai ahead of Origin, while Martin Taupau was punished for a high tackle.

Below, The Sporting News wraps up all the judiciary charges from the week.

Fa'asuamaleaui dodges suspension as Whitehead charged twice

Queensland fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Gold Coast and Maroons' second-rower Tino Fa'asuamaleaui avoided suspension for Dangerous Contact in his team's loss against the Bulldogs.

The Titans star was let off with a $1,000 fine after entering an early guilty plea.

Elsewhere in the NRL on Sunday, Canberra second-rower Elliot Whitehead was charged in two separate incidents during the Raiders' brutal loss to Manly.

He was charged with Dangerous Contact against Josh Schuster and with a Careless High Tackle against Brad Parker, consequently being fined a combined $3,000.

Felise Kaufusi to miss Origin opener

Dolphins and QLD Maroons second-rower Felise Kaufusi will miss the State of Origin opener.

The veteran enforcer was hit with a grade two careless high tackle on former teammate Christian Welch in Saturday night's clash against the Storm.

Due to prior indiscretions, Kaufusi will now miss three games with his early guilty plea.

In the same match, Kenny Bromwich was charged with grade one contrary conduct and has escaped with a $1,000 fine with an early guilty plea.

Victor Radley hit with three-game ban for headbutt

Roosters enforcer Radley will be banned for three games with an early plea after being cited for striking Blake Lawrie in the two-point loss to the Dragons.

The 25-year-old wasn't sin binned for the grade one incident in the 14th minute.

Radley will miss matches against the Bulldogs, Panthers and Knights.

Jarome Luai avoids suspension after touch judge contact

Panthers playmaker Jarome Luai has dodged a ban after an apparent push on a touch judge.

After Sunia Turuva opened the scoring against the Broncos, Luai appeared to shove the official before quickly apologising.

Had the 26-year-old been handed a suspension, he would have been unavailable for Blues selection for the Origin opener since the Panthers have a bye next round.

He has instead been fined $1,800 by the NRL with an early guilty plea.

"I've heard something about it, but I don't think there's much in it," Penrith coach Ivan Cleary said post-match.

"He mentioned it to me right after the game," club captain Nathan Cleary added.

"He said he didn't think it was the touch judge and then apologised straight after."

Martin Taupau fined for high tackle

Broncos enforcer Martin Taupau was charged by the judiciary for his high tackle on Penrith's Lindsay Smith.

Since it is his first offence, he will be fined $1,000 for the 79th-minute incident assuming he accepts the early guilty plea.
