Jack de Belin avoids ban following sin bin

Stand-in Dragons captain De Belin has dodged suspension after making a dangerous tackle on Thursday night.

With two teammates already making the tackle, the 32-year-old came in low around Ray Stone's leg - a technique commonly known as a cannonball tackle.

“I don’t think I went in too hard or too low or with any bad intent, so I was pretty shocked, in all honesty, to be sin-binned,” he said post-match.

Assuming he accepts the early guilty plea, he will be fined $1,800.

Ray Stone and Kodi Nikorima fined

Dolphins enforcer Stone is set to avoid any time on the sideline after being charged with a dangerous throw on Ben Murdoch-Masila.

He will be fined $2,500 but could face a two-match ban if he unsuccessfully challenges the ruling.

As for Nikorima, he found himself in the thick of it filling in at fullback for Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.

He collected Jack Bird high as he fell over the try line, but was not penalised at the time and was only placed on report.

With an early guilty plea, he will pay a $1,8000 fine.

Two players charged in Rabbitohs-Raiders clash

Nick Cotric and Blake Taaffe will escape suspension following Saturday night's high-scoring clash between South Sydney and Canberra.

Both men were charged by the NRL judiciary, with Cotric hit with a grade two shoulder charge and set to be fined $3000 with an early guilty plea. If the winger fights the charge and loses, he will miss two matches.

Taaffe was charged with a grade one careless high tackle and will be fined $1000 with an early guilty plea. If the club and the young fullback head to the judiciary panel and lose, he will be fined $1500.

In the earlier game on Saturday, Broncos young gun Xavier Willison was charged with grade one dangerous contact and will escape with a fine.

Two fines issued after Knights-Sea Eagles match

Toluta'u Koula has escaped suspension after his high tackles on Knights star Kalyn Ponga.

Playing at centre, Koula was sin-binned for the offence, and will now be required to pay $1,000, assuming he enters an early guilty plea.

Elsewhere, Newcastle hooker Phoenix Crossland was fined for dangerous contact on Manly enforcer Haumole Olakau'atu.

He will need to cough up $1,800.
