NRL Judiciary Finals Week 3: Melbourne Storm duo charged after prelim loss image

The preliminary finals are done for 2023, with the Penrith Panthers and Brisbane Broncos progressing to next week's grand final.

It was a relatively quiet weekend for the judiciary, with just two Melbourne Storm players — Nelson Asofa-Solomona and Josh King — charged following their 38-4 defeat.

No players were cited following Saturday's clash between the Broncos and New Zealand Warriors.

Asofa-Solomona, King fined after Panthers-Storm clash

Melbourne's frustration showed in the second half of Friday's preliminary final, with two Storm players charged by the judiciary for separate incidents of dangerous contact.

Asofa-Solomona will be required to pay a $1,000 fine for his hit on Isaah Yeo, assuming he enters an early guilty plea.

Fellow forward King was fined for his late shot on Nathan Cleary and will need to cough up $750 with an early plea.
