The feel-good factor around Newcastle continues as they ride a wave of momentum into the finals with Greg Marzhew committing to a new deal after an impressive first campaign for the Knights.
The contract extension will see the winger remain in the Hunter until at least the end of the 2026 season.

Marzhew joined the Knights from the Titans at the start of the year after struggling to establish himself as a regular on the Gold Coast.

The 26-year-old made his debut for the Titans two years ago and stood out for his bustling carries and try-scoring ability.
However, the tackle-busting machine made the surprise move to Newcastle during pre-season after being deemed surplus to requirements under Justin Holbrook.
"Greg has been outstanding since joining the club and has established himself as one of the best wingers in the NRL," Newcastle’s Director of Football, Peter Parr, said upon the announcement.
Marzhew has built a lethal combination with Bradman Best and Kalyn Ponga on the left edge which has helped propel the Knights to an eight-game winning streak and a place in the finals.
In his 19 appearances this campaign, he has scored 19 tries, while he has also made 24 linebreaks.
Although it’s not just the winger’s ability to cross for four-pointers which has made him an invaluable asset to the team, with his runs out of the backfield also repeatedly putting Newcastle on the front foot at the beginning of their sets.
"He is still young in years and NRL games played, there is no doubt his game will continue to improve in the coming years," Parr added.
"We look forward to watching his game develop further and we are grateful he has committed to the club."
