The St. George Illawarra Dragons started their 2023 season off on a high last weekend with a dominant win over the Titans, and it appears that they've kept this good feeling going, extending the Couchman twins, Toby and Ryan, for the next three years.
This news comes just one day after Toby Couchman made his NRL debut for the Dragons, in an effort that saw him make 11 runs for 103 metres, but was cut short after 33 minutes when he was forced to leave the field due to an HIA.
Both Toby and Ryan are Thirroul Butchers juniors, and their new contracts will see them stay in the Illawarra until at least the end of 2025.

According to Dragons GM Ben Haran, it was the Couchman's efforts both on and off the field that endeared them to the club.
"They're the style of players with their work ethic, humility, and character that we'll continue to build the club around over the coming seasons," Haran said.
"Their potential for development is great and we look forward to seeing this happen over the coming seasons."
Speaking to the NRL's Brad Walter, Toby and Ryan's father Ben Couchman said that he couldn't wait to see both his sons line up in the NRL together, and the news of the extension will only make this dream closer to reality.
“I always love watching them play together and watching them play together at this level would be something else," Couchman said.
"When the time is right, and if they are both playing good footy and there is a genuine need for them, I would love to see that."
The Dragons' next game is this Saturday when they take on the Broncos in Brisbane.
