Patrick Herbert has been granted an early release from his Titans contract.
The 26-year-old was signed until the end of 2023 on the Gold Coast, but the parties came to a mutual agreement to allow the Kiwi-born centre to depart on compassionate grounds.
Herbert moved to the Titans in 2021 and became a fixture out wide under Justin Holbrook, featuring in 20 games as the side made the finals.
In a statement released on Thursday morning, the club confirmed Herbert would exit effective immediately.

"The Gold Coast Titans and Patrick Herbert have mutually agreed to part ways," a statement said.
"Herbert, who was contracted for the 2023 season, will be released on compassionate grounds.
"The 26-year-old played 38 games for the Gold Coast club over the past two seasons, predominantly in the centres.
"The Titans wish Patrick and his family well for the future and thank him for his service during his time on the Coast."
Herbert has scored 17 tries in 58 NRL appearances to date across stints with the Warriors and Titans, as well as featuring on two occasions for the Maori All Stars.
The centre had been sidelined for the early parts of the season with a knee injury, while the club also added Aaron Schoupp on a long-term deal.
There has been no indication of Herbert's next club at this stage.
