The annual NRL All stars clash will be back in Australia next year, with the league confirming Townsville will host the pre-season fixture in February.
After a successful move to New Zealand in 2023, the decision has been made to bring the game back to Queensland, with both the male and female matches to be held on the same night.
The clashes will again pit the Indigenous and Maori sides against each other and NRL CEO Andrew Abdo is banking on another massive event for rugby league fans.
“After a successful match in New Zealand in 2023, All Stars returns to Townsville to kick off the 2024 season," he said.
“The full week of community engagement, education and cultural activities is unique and unrivalled in sport. There is no better way to celebrate the start of our season.”
