The NRL season is about to begin, but not in the way that we know it.
For the first time ever, the season will begin on foreign soil, with the NRL sending four teams to Las Vegas, Nevada, to spread the gospel of rugby league to the American audience.
So which lucky teams have been given the chance to show out in Sin City, and officially launch the 2024 NRL season?
Which NRL teams are playing in Vegas?
- Manly Sea Eagles
- South Sydney Rabbitohs
- Sydney Roosters
- Brisbane Broncos
Four teams have been chosen to compete in the season in Vegas, playing back-to-back games at Allegiant Stadium.
First, the Sea Eagles will take on the Rabbitohs, who will be followed by the Roosters playing against 2023 runners-up Broncos.
When does the NRL play in Vegas?
The NRL will head to Vegas for their first two games of the season, which for Australian audiences will take place on Sunday, March 3.
The first game will kick off at 1:30 p.m. AEDT, with the second game starting two hours later, 3:30 p.m. AEDT.
How to watch NRL Las Vegas
For NRL fans not fortunate enough to be headed stateside, they will still be able to catch all the action of the opening round.
Both games will be shown on Fox League for Australian viewers and Sky Sports in New Zealand.
