NRL 2019: Round 15 Team of the Week image

Check out  Sporting News' NRL team of the week from round 15.

FULLBACK

Storm youngster Ryan Papenhuyzen was just about the difference in the win over the Roosters. 251 run metres, 59 post-contact metres and one try was good enough for the number one jumper in our team of the week.

WINGERS

A couple of former Roosters got the nod in Parramatta's Blake Ferguson (his second week in a row) and Knights veteran Shaun Kenny-Dowall. Recalled to the Origin arena, Fergo backed it up with two tries and 163 metres in the win over Canberra, while SKD scored a try as well as racking up 162 metres from 15 runs.

CENTRES

Brent Naden's brilliant solo effort to give the Panthers a chance to send it to an ultimately successful golden point was good enough to earn him a place in our team of the week, while Bulldogs star Will Hopoate had a whopping 24 runs for 182 metres, including 55 post-contact and five tackle breaks.

HALVES

James Maloney

The maligned Mason Lino stepped up for the Knights as they got over the Broncos, while James Maloney backed up his solid form in Origin two with another big effort for the Panthers.

HOOKER

Dragons rake Cameron McInnes put in another workmanlike performance with 53 tackles and 73 metres from dummy half. Cameron Smith can probably count himself unlucky to miss out.

PROPS

David Klemmer

David Klemmer made a swift and successful return from a fractured wrist to post a whopping 205 run metres and 42 tackles, while Eels big man Junior Paulo made 160 metres from 13 hit ups, as well as making 23 tackles at 95 per cent.

SECOND-ROW

In his 100th game, Manly backrower Curtis Sironen crossed the stripe twice from three line breaks to set up the win over the Titans, while Manu Ma'u was a force as Parramatta got over the Raiders.

LOCK

At this rate, it's going to take a serious effort to shift Jake Trbojevic from the lock position in our team of the week. The Manly workhorse just continues to churn out classy performances.
