The North Queensland Cowboys had a relatively successful season, returning to the finals with a fifth placed finish.
Despite defeating Newcastle in week one, their season came to an underwhelming end as they were easily beaten by Cronulla in week two of the finals.
There is set to be a lot of change in Townsville in the off-season, as several long serving players depart, with coach Todd Payten looking to regenerate the side and keep them fresh for 2025.

Which players have left the North Queensland Cowboys in 2024?
So far there are seven departures from the North Queensland Cowboys at the end of 2024, including premiership winners Kyle Feldt and Jake Granville.
The pair started in the 2015 Grand Final win, with Feldt scoring the miracle match-levelling try in the last minute - and both leave having made 217 and 207 appearances respectively for the side, being one-club men up until this point.
Valentine Holmes will also be leaving the club after playing 98 times from 2020 when he returned from a short stint in the NFL; he represented both Queensland and Australia whilst at the Cowboys.
Chad Townsend is the other big name to be leaving the club, as he is set to link up with the Sydney Roosters in 2025.

The Cowboys have only announced two signings so far for 2025.
Karl Lawton is set to join from Manly to bolster the second row options, whilst Kai O'Donnell will be making his return from the Super League.
