The Melbourne Storm obliterated the Sydney Roosters en route to the 2024 NRL grand final, but it didn't come without cost.
Barely a minute into the game, Melbourne enforcer Nelson Asofa-Solomona delivered a brutal shot to Sydney's Lindsay Collins, which saw the Storm player put on report, while the Roosters star would miss the entire game due to a failed HIA.
Following the match, NAS was hit with a four-game ban, one which the Storm are now challenging as they push to have their veteran available for the title-deciding game.

Melbourne fight to overturn grand final ban
According to a statement posted by the Melbourne Storm, the team intends to challenge the suspension handed to Asofa-Solomona.
The prop was handed the ban after a high shot on Lindsay Collins that ruled him out of their preliminary finals clash.
It's a significant risk for Melbourne; if the charge is upheld at panel, an extra game will be added to the four games their player is set to miss.
Melbourne will take on Penrith this Sunday for the 2024 NRL premiership.
