Brisbane Broncos coach Kevin Walters has boldly claimed his side will make the NRL finals after their come from behind victory over Parramatta on Friday.
The win means the Broncos sit two points outside the top eight, though the Dragons who sit in eighth have a game in hand, but Walters believes his side has what it takes to overturn the odds.
"There's no if, no if here," Walters interjected when asked if his side could make the finals in the post match media conference, "we're going to make the finals."
He also dismissed the notion their Battle of Brisbane against the Dolphins - who are also chasing a finals berth - next weekend is more crucial than their match against Parramatta.
"We'll just enjoy tonight first if that's okay, [and] we get on to whoever we play next week," he said.
"Every game is important, it [the Dolphins game] is no more important than tonight was, we had to win tonight. We didn't play well, but we managed to win."
A win wasn't looking likely for the Broncos at the start of the match as they conceded three tries in the opening 10 minutes to find themselves 16-0 down at Suncorp Stadium, before Tristan Sailor helped inspire a fightback with a try and an assist as the Broncos overhauled their struggling opponents.
Captain Adam Reynolds said post-match he felt he didn't have his best game despite getting a try and two try assists.
"[There were] just moments in the game where I could have been better," Reynolds told media after the match.
"[There was] a lot on the line, got to get it right at that time, didn't get a right ball tonight.
"There were moments in the game I was happy with, but also moments I'm not proud of."
Walters insisted the whole team needed to take responsibility for the slow start and the areas of their game they need to improve.
"He knows he can be better, we know he can be better the whole team can be better, so the important thing tonight was to come here and win," Walters said.
"I'm sure if we come up with that next week, it won't be the same result."
