Parramatta veteran Jarryd Hayne reacted angrily to a fan on Twitter over a cheeky comment that clearly struck a nerve after the Billy Slater verdict was handed down.
Hayne took to Twitter to express his surprise and delight after the Melbourne Storm full-back was controversially found not guilty of a shoulder charge on Cronulla’s Sosaia Feki on Tuesday night.
Good to see @billyslater will play. At the end of the day it’s a Grand Final.

Hayne politely replied to one punter who suggested ‘rules are rules’ and believed Slater should have been rubbed out of Sunday’s NRL decider against the Sydney Roosters.
Rules were made to be broken 😜I was certain he would be suspended but I’m happy his playing. It’s a stupid rule that needs to be addressed. https://t.co/0U02l6TlAx

But the Hayne Plane’s mood quickly turned angry when Twitter user Paul Horsfall, whose profile picture features three children, posted a tweet poking fun at the former San Fransico 49ers’ NFL ‘dream’ comments.
It’s always been a dream of mine to be on the judiciary panel

My next dream would be for wankers like you to grow tf up. And to think you got 3kids that one day will dare to dream makes your tweet even more pathetic. https://t.co/mwQ8AP1bXx

Hayne quit the Eels and the NRL in 2014 and declared he was chasing his NFL dream.
His ‘dream’ comment has become a punchline that is recycled every time the former 49er and Gold Coast Titan changes codes or clubs.
