It's been a dream season for Jahrome Hughes and the Melbourne Storm in 2024.
First he helps them wrap up the minor premiership with two games to go, before cruising to the grand final, and along the way picking up the Dally M Medal.
But if the Storm can take down Penrith in this year's decider, Hughes will enter even rarer air, becoming just the ninth player to win a Dally M Medal and a Premiership in the same season.

Jahrome Hughes on verge of entering prestigious NRL club
If the Storm can continue their dominant form and claim the 2024 NRL premiership, Hughes will be one of just nine men to win the Dally M and the Premiership in a single NRL season.
He would also be just the fifth of the NRL era, and the first since James Tedesco in 2019.
Hughes taking out the 'double' this year would immediately see his name up in lights next to the greats of the game; since 1998, this feat has been achieved by legends of the game like Cameron Smith, Jonathon Thurston, and Matt Orford.
It is also worth noting that 2009 Dally M Medal winner Jarryd Hayne lost in that year's grand final to Melbourne, who were later stripped of the title due to the salary cap scandal.
Looking back before the NRL era, and you see even more legendary names, with Peter Sterling, Michael Potter, and Ray Price all in the club, as well as the first-ever Dally M Medal winner, St. George's Steve Morris.
And if Hughes has a massive game and is able to win the Clive Churchill medal, then he will join Jonathon Thurston and Peter Sterling as the only players to win both of the NRL's highest honours in a single campaign - Sterling was the first recipient of the award in 1986.
