There hasn't been a team in the NRL more dominant than the Melbourne Storm in 2024.
After locking up the minor premiership with two games in hand, they cruised through their first finals game, beating the Cronulla Sharks by 27 points, firming as true premiership favourites.
As they enjoy their week off before a preliminary final appearance, captain Harry Grant explained that the nature of the team's relationship with each other is the real reason behind their success this season.

How friendship became secret to Melbourne Storm success
Speaking to media Tuesday, Harry Grant said that one of the key factors behind the Storm's excellence is their genuine connection, which has been forged through a melting pot of culture and talent.
"A lot of us are from interstate, from different nationalities, different countries, and we all come here together with a greater purpose, to pull on the Melbourne Storm jersey and do the people and fans proud," Grant said.
"We’ve got a good group here, the group's been together for a number of years, you look at the team and everyone’s in career best form, just enjoying themselves and enjoying coming in.
"I definitely think we’ve got that [family] feel and that’s important, that’s been the Melbourne Storm for a long time, the club is so important to so many people.
"The playing group we have at the moment are very tight, you can see that on the field, but that’s the playing squad as whole."
The Storm will play the winner of the Roosters and the Sea Eagles next week.
