Melbourne Storm second-rower Kenny Bromwich will join the Dolphins for their inaugural season in 2023 on a three-year deal.

The 30-year-old is set to link up with his brother Jesse in Redcliffe, who announced earlier this year he would be joining the NRL's newest club.

Bromwich won two premierships with the Storm and will depart at the end of the 2022 season.

He joined in 2013, racking up 192 appearances during a successful stint with the Melbourne-based club.

He made his international debut for New Zealand in 2016 and has remained a consistent part of the national set-up since.

Melbourne Storm CEO Justin Rodski noted Bromwich's contributions to the club in a statement confirming the departure.

“Kenny has been a fantastic contributor to Storm on and off the field,” Rodski said.

“While we would have loved to have Kenny stay on with Storm for 2023 and beyond, unfortunately, that won’t be happening but we still have this year to enjoy watching him on that left edge that he has made his home.

“When the time comes at the end of the year, we will give Kenny and his family a proper farewell and say our thanks for all he has done with the club.”

Although Melbourne will be without the experienced Bromwich brothers as well as Felise Kaufusi after this season, they have recently signed promising back-rower Jack Howarth to a contract extension.
